What do you do when you are sick and have a baby in the house? As little as possible... right?
Several people at work have been sick for the past couple of weeks. And, I started feeling pretty yucky today. :( So, I tried to keep Lil M occupied in her room so that she wasn't breathing my cooties all day. For now it is cold symptoms and a tummy issue. I think the tummy issue is a separate issue. I am praying she doesn't get ill... And I HATE being sick. Thankfully, we've been sick less (so far) this winter than last winter.
So, today has been a very laid back kind of day. I did take a nap while Lil M was napping. I'm wondering how others keep their kiddos occupied when they aren't feeling well.

Hi! I'm a single mom by circumstance/choice to my daughter, and purely by choice to my son.
I hate being sick, especially when the kids are sick too. All you want to do is crawl in bed, but you can't. Seems like it takes forever to feel better.
I'm a big fan of popsicles and warm baths, doesn't matter what time of day it is.
Hope you're all healthy soon!
It takes a lot to take me out of the game but when I get sick - I AM SICK. I'm not a very good sick person either:) I hate it when my body won't listen to what I'm telling it to do like, "YOU SIMPLY CANNOT BE SICK!" Oh well - it happens to the best of us, right? So when I'm that sick, it's a movie day. We watch cartoons or read books the bulk of the day. Make a picnic on the floor with a big blanket and snacks and then just hang out.
Hope you feel better soon!
Hi Melissa,
I'm so glad you visited my blog!
If I wouldn't have married and had a family in the way that we did (which included adoption as you know) I would have adopted as a single woman. I always wanted to be a mama and I would have made it happen, just as you have.
Your daughter is simply beautiful!!! Ach, just gorgeous! :)
I do daycare at home, so that I can be a stay at home mama, and my husband works long hrs so when I am sick, typically I am playing it solo most of the time...
When there are germs in the house, unfortunately everyone in the household is exposed so I don't know there is much you can do on that end...
My son who is 3 loves to read, so often when I am not feeling well we will lay on the couch under a blanket together and read stories (or he will "read" to me) My daughter who is almost 2 loves music, so turning on music, or cheating and turning on a kidsongs video keeps her happy.
Playdough also keeps my kiddos quietly entertained, however you have to be in the mood to sit up with her, and if you are sicker than a dog that might not be a good choice...
In any case, I hope you feel better soon!!! :)
